"Five, four, three, two, one…
Bang, Bang, Bang boy
You’re going down, down, down boy
To the ground where you left my heart to bleed
Bang, she shot you,
Karma tastes so sweet"

- Christina Perri - Bang Bang Bang

So lay me down

Let the only sound

Be the overflow

Pockets full of stones

Lay me down

Let the only sound

Be the overflow

This woman is my new hero. Oh and BTW it’s interesting to know that this song is about Virginia Woolf’s suicide, hence the “pockets full of stones” to help her drown)

LOVE this artist!

The Joy of Books

Many sleepless nights were spent moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto to create this video.

Pocahontas - Colors Of The Wind (A Capella Cover)

If I hadn’t made this blatantly obvious before, allow me to do so now. I am a complete Disney dork. I can not think of a better way to spend my evening then singing those tender melodies from my childhood and of course, Pocahontas is no exception. I was going to cover “Part of Your World Reprise” but when I was reading the lyrics, I thought of Onew and the irony was so palpable that I laughed my ass off through the whole recording and never succeeded. Go try and sing those lyrics while thinking of your bias and try not to choke- I double dog dare you! Anyways, I hope you like my take on it and if anything, feel a little nostalgia for those simpler days.

“Aurora’s Return / Maleficent’s Evil Spell,” Sleeping Beauty

Are you in the market for some Halloween music? Are you sick of all the standards like “Thriller” and “Monster Mash” cluttering your iTunes library? I know I am, that’s why I found something a bit more unconventional to add to my All Hollows’ Hit List.

After searching far and wide I think I’ve succeeded. Ladies Witches and gentleman warlocks I give you “Maleficent’s Evil Spell.” Heard during 1959’s Sleeping Beauty when Aurora is put under a hypnotic spell by Maleficent, the classical score has echoing choral work and eerie startling sounds making it the perfect addition to your Halloween playlists.

This movie better come out in the orginal French version with English subtitles in South Africa. I don’t want to loose one bit of it’s original charm!

I’m a bitch, I’m a lover.
I’m a child, I’m a mother.
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint.
I do not feel ashamed.
I’m your hell, I’m your dream.
I’m nothing in between.
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way.
